YOUTH ACTIVITY CENTER AND 
ROCK CLIMBING WALL

Rock Climbing will only be permitted during the following YMCA of North Central Ohio Mansfield Branch supervised times during regular business hours:

Regular Hours:

Monday-Wednesday 4p-7p

Thursday 4p-6p
Saturday 10:30a-1:30p

• Climbing requires a YMCA issued harness- no outside equipment allowed

​

• Everyone must complete a waiver prior to climbing

​

• Parents are responsible for their children

​

• Under 10 requires adult supervision

​

• Teaching or instruction by YMCA Staff only

​

• No food or drink

​

• Refrain from profanity and inappropriate language

​

• Closed toes certified climbing shoes provided by the YMCA- no outside shoes allowed

​

• Shirts required

​

• Liquid Chalk is the only chalk permitted- Leave as little trace as possible

 

​The Mansfield YMCA has the right to revoke climbing or belay privileges for unsafe or inappropriate behavior. ​

Rockwall Climbing is now available outside of regular staff-supervised hours for adults 18+ at the YMCA of North Central Ohio Mansfield branch. This is a great opportunity for members to enjoy the climbing wall on their own time, but there are a few important things to note before you hit the wall.

​

• Rock Wall Access: Climbing is available for adults 18+ outside of staffed supervised hours during our regular business hours only (Not available for 24/7 access). 

• Provide Your Own Equipment: You must bring and use your own climbing gear, and it must be safe and well-maintained.

• Waiver Requirement: All participants must complete and sign a waiver before climbing. This includes the following terms:

  • Voluntary Participation: You understand the risks of rock climbing and are choosing to participate outside of staffed hours.

  • Risk Acknowledgement: You accept the inherent risks, including potential injury or illness.

  • Equipment Responsibility: You confirm that your equipment is safe, and you will not guide or teach others while climbing.

  • Tag Requirement: You will need to wear a tag indicating that you’ve completed the waiver.
